Location: Dishley Pool
While exploring Dishley Pool, an RSPB site in Leicestershire, I came across these stunning Germander Speedwell flowers in full bloom. Often called 'Bird’s Eye' or 'Cat’s Eye,' these delicate blue wildflowers are a sure sign of spring, brightening up the grassland with their vivid petals and white-centered blooms. They play an important role in supporting early pollinators like bees and butterflies. Through my photography, I hope to capture the beauty of these often-overlooked wildflowers and inspire more people to visit places like Dishley Pool to connect with nature.
